Are Reptilians Real? The Evidence Behind Shapeshifting Eyes, Ancient Claims, and Susan Dell’s Viral Video

Susan Dell's viral White House appearance has revived an extraordinary question: could reptilian shapeshifters be hiding among us? We trace the theory's origins, examine specific videos against their original footage, investigate authentic ancient artifacts and Anunnaki texts, and explain exactly what the available evidence proves, fails to prove, and leaves unresolved.

Short answer: There is no credible, independently verified evidence that reptilian humanoids disguise themselves as people, physically shapeshift, or secretly govern humanity. But that answer alone does not explain why so many videos, eyewitness stories, and ancient objects seem persuasive to some viewers. Several frequently cited clues are real observations: some footage genuinely glitches, some people genuinely have unusually shaped pupils, and ancient Mesopotamian people genuinely made figurines with lizardlike faces. The critical question is whether those observations support the much larger claim being attached to them.

The evidence is not all of one kind. Some alleged reptilian-eye videos have been traced to deliberate effects or later alterations. Others contain genuine recording defects. A few remain insufficiently documented to explain frame by frame. Archaeological discoveries are authentic, but their original meaning is uncertain. Eyewitness accounts may be sincerely reported without independently verifying the proposed interpretation.

This investigation follows those differences rather than dismissing everything as a joke—or treating every unexplained image as proof of an extraordinary species.

Why are people calling Susan Dell a reptilian?

On October 7, 2026, Susan Dell appeared at a White House event with her husband, Dell Technologies founder Michael Dell, and President Donald Trump. Footage and photographs of the event spread online. Some viewers described her facial appearance as unusual; others compared her to a purported reptilian shapeshifter. International Business Times documented the reaction, which included ridicule, speculation, and alien or reptilian comparisons.

The most important primary record is the White House video of the October 7 appearance. It supplies the event’s context without relying solely on isolated stills or reposted clips.

The actual event concerned Trump Accounts, investment accounts for children. The Dells’ own statement describes their $6.25 billion commitment to provide $250 contributions for 25 million eligible children. That pledge was announced in December 2025; the October 2026 event provided an update, rather than announcing an entirely new $6.25 billion gift. The December White House announcement establishes the chronology.

What can we establish about the reptilian allegation?

  • Verified: Susan Dell attended the event; footage circulated; some online users compared her appearance to reptilian or alien imagery.
  • Not verified: That an authenticated recording shows her eyes biologically changing into reptilian eyes, that she physically changed form, or that she belongs to a hidden nonhuman species.
  • Not established by this review: The precise technical origin of every cropped, edited, or reuploaded clip of her appearance. We did not obtain raw camera files or perform an independent laboratory-level forensic examination of every circulated version.

That last distinction is deliberate. A clip not yet forensically explained is not the same as a clip showing an alien transformation. Equally, we should not claim a particular Susan Dell clip was computer-generated without tracing its editing history. Nor should photographs be used to speculate about anyone’s medical condition or cosmetic procedures.

Susan Dell is the current news hook. The wider question is why a single appearance immediately activates an elaborate, decades-old theory.

What are reptilians, reptiloids, and shapeshifters supposed to be?

There is no single, agreed-upon reptilian theory. Its variations describe alleged beings called reptilians, reptiloids, lizard people, or sometimes Draconians. Supporters disagree on whether these entities are biological extraterrestrials, human-reptile hybrids, interdimensional beings, spiritual entities, or something capable of projecting a human disguise.

The most common claims are that they:

  • Look human most of the time, but possess or conceal scaled skin, slit pupils, an unusual eyelid, or other reptile-like characteristics.
  • Shapeshift, sometimes physically and sometimes through a proposed illusion, holographic technology, or manipulation of human perception.
  • Occupy influential positions in politics, monarchy, finance, business, media, or entertainment.
  • Belong to hidden bloodlines that supposedly pass their traits or power between generations.
  • Originate from elsewhere, often another planet, the Draco constellation, or a different dimension, depending on the storyteller.
  • Maintain control through secrecy, deception, fear, surveillance, wars, or interconnected institutions.

These descriptions are claims circulating within a belief system, not established traits of an observed species. The differences between them matter when evaluating evidence. A physically changing pupil, a hologram, and an alteration in the viewer’s consciousness are three distinct proposed mechanisms. A video anomaly cannot simultaneously validate all three.

A substantial scholarly history of the modern theory is provided by religious-studies researcher David G. Robertson in David Icke’s Reptilian Thesis and the Development of New Age Theodicy, published in 2013. Robertson documents how older UFO ideas, spirituality, occult narratives, and claims about secret elites converged in the 1990s.

The strongest reptilian evidence claims—and what they actually demonstrate

For readers trying to evaluate the issue rather than choose a side, the useful starting point is a claim-by-claim inventory.

Evidence presented by believers What is genuinely observable or documented What would still be needed to establish the reptilian interpretation
A pupil becomes vertical in a video Some circulated videos display a pupil-like shape change; unusual real human pupils also exist The earliest authentic footage, independent camera views, exclusion of edits and optics, and reproducible anatomical evidence
A face glitches while the background stays intact Motion-dependent video compression and processing can affect moving subjects disproportionately Raw frames showing a physical event rather than an encoded-image defect
A person appears to blink with a third eyelid Certain clips show a brief line or sweep across an eye; actual human eyelid anatomy has ordinary variations An independently observed, examined anatomical structure—not a fleeting compressed frame
Someone says they witnessed a transformation A person can sincerely report an extraordinary experience Independently corroborated observations, records made before accounts influenced one another, or physical evidence
Ancient artifacts have lizardlike heads Archaeological collections contain authentic, often thousands-of-years-old figurines Evidence that they represent an encountered biological species rather than symbolic or stylized human-made objects
Ancient texts describe gods descending from the sky Mesopotamian literature describes divine beings and elaborate cosmologies A defensible translation and contemporaneous evidence connecting the text to material nonhuman organisms
Powerful families and institutions are connected Public records can establish real ownership, financing, relationships, and influence Evidence of reptilian biology; institutional connections alone cannot establish species identity
Evidence was allegedly suppressed A documented alteration, disappearance, or concealment would warrant investigation Independent proof of suppression and proof of the underlying biological claim—the first does not automatically establish the second

The distinction: Authenticity of an object or observation is one question. Interpretation of that observation is a second, separate question. A genuine video anomaly and a genuine ancient sculpture do not, by themselves, establish a hidden species.

Do reptilian eyes really change shape on camera?

Claims about reptilian eyes, vertical slit pupils, double eyelids, and shapeshifting eye glitches are among the theory’s most searched and most frequently circulated examples. They deserve a technical answer, not merely a statement of disbelief.

A changing image of an eye is not necessarily a changing eye

Digital video is not a perfectly transparent window onto reality. Common codecs store complete or independently coded frames along with frames that predict changes from nearby frames. If parts of a face move quickly, the available information is insufficient, or a clip is recompressed, some moving features can look stretched, blocked, partially duplicated, or reshaped.

Cloudflare’s technical explanation of H.264 video describes this kind of inter-frame compression. Adobe’s overview of video encoding and compression explains why bitrate, resolution, and encoding choices affect visual fidelity.

This explains a particularly common objection: “Why did only the person’s face glitch while the wall stayed normal?” A mostly stationary wall can be encoded using relatively stable image information while a talking, blinking face requires more changing information. The difference is consistent with digital encoding. It does not prove that every facial glitch has that cause, but it removes the supposed impossibility on which the reptilian argument often depends.

A still image, screen recording, zoomed social-media repost, or AI-upscaled clip also may not preserve the original pixel data. Enlarging an ambiguous frame can enlarge the ambiguity—not reveal hidden anatomy.

Can human pupils really look reptilian?

Yes, some human pupils genuinely have unusual shapes. The National Eye Institute’s explanation of coloboma describes developmental differences involving eye tissue; an iris coloboma can give the pupil a keyhole or teardrop-like shape. Real pupils also change size in response to light. And FDA guidance on decorative contact lenses documents cosmetic lenses that intentionally produce animal-like eye appearances.

These are examples of possible mechanisms, not diagnoses of any individual in a viral clip. The observation “that eye looks unusual” is sometimes correct. The conclusion “therefore that person is a reptile” does not follow.

What about reptilians’ supposedly transparent third eyelid?

A nictitating membrane is a real anatomical structure in several animal species. Human eyes also possess a small vestigial fold at the inner corner called the plica semilunaris, but a normal human eye does not have the equivalent of a fully functional reptile- or bird-style sweeping third eyelid. A peer-reviewed comparative study of nictitating membranes describes that anatomical distinction.

To establish a previously unknown eyelid mechanism in a human would require repeatable, close-range clinical or anatomical evidence. A brief streak over an iris in low-resolution footage does not meet that requirement.

Five famous shapeshifter videos investigated against their originals

One of the strongest ways to test the theory is to compare the specific clip believers share with the earliest traceable version, rather than assume either the viral narrator or a fact-checker’s verdict is sufficient.

In a February 2022 investigation of a ten-clip shapeshifter compilation, fact-checker Sarah Thompson identified the sources and, in one instance, contacted the production team responsible for an effect. The investigation is useful because it gives case-specific evidence, not just a generalized explanation.

Viral example What an investigator found Evidence status
Carolin Kebekus’s reptilian eyes on German television Her May 2020 comedy broadcast included an intentional eye effect. The show’s WDR production staff confirmed to Lead Stories that it was added after recording as satire about conspiracy theories. Documented deliberate effect
Miley Cyrus’s supposed pupil transformation during a Barbara Walters interview The changing pupils appear in a circulated compilation, but not in the original December 2013 ABC News interview reviewed by Lead Stories. Effect absent from original source
Chilean official Karla Rubilar’s reptilian eyes A 2019 press-conference clip circulated first without reptilian-eye changes. A later edited version, shared in 2021, added the transformation. Documented later alteration
Sofía Vergara on Saturday Night Live The highly degraded viral copy contains distortions missing from the clearer original program footage. Distortion associated with a later copy
The Bangles in a 2007 television interview A bold black-and-white glitch does appear in available copies. The original broadcaster file was not located by the investigator; comparable 2007-era broadcast glitches were found. Underlying technical cause not fully established; no verified transformation

All five case summaries above are drawn from the same published, source-by-source investigation. That investigation also documents an Argentine television segment whose glitch extends into captions and studio monitors, showing that distortions are not always confined to a supposed shapeshifter’s skin.

Another example deserves particular care. In a 2014 Dr. Phil interview, a guest had visibly unusual-looking pupils in genuine images. The fact-checkers did not establish that her eyes had been computer-generated. Instead, they showed that authentic human eye differences can exist and compared the images with examples of coloboma. The woman’s specific medical history was not independently established and should not be invented.

What the case studies prove: Reptilian-video compilations have included purposeful effects, footage modified after its original broadcast, naturally unusual-looking eyes, and recording defects. At least one clip has incomplete provenance. They do not establish that all future videos must be fake, nor do they provide verified evidence of shapeshifting.

If dozens of different cameras show the same anomaly, isn’t that a pattern?

It can be a pattern—but the question is a pattern of what?

Modern cameras and editing platforms often use related compression principles. Content creators also reuse viral visual effects, repost the same videos, crop out source material, and assemble compilations from copies of copies. Dozens of such clips therefore may not represent dozens of independent observations.

To test independence, identify the original camera source and first upload date of each example. A compilation with twenty clips from ten years of television is not equivalent to twenty independently authenticated records of the same biological event. And if the disputed footage repeatedly involves the same class of video artifact, that is a competing pattern worthy of examination.

Are the ancient reptilian statues real? The Ubaid figurines

Yes. The artifacts are real. This is among the most important facts to preserve when discussing ancient “reptilian” evidence.

The British Museum’s collection record for a figurine excavated at Eridu describes a fired-clay object with a reptilian face and elongated head. It assigns the object to the Ubaid culture, gives a broad date range of 5900–4000 BCE, and identifies the original excavator and findspot. The collection record is not an internet fabrication. Its registration number is 1919,1011.3942; the object is recorded as approximately 4.8 centimeters tall.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s history of the Ubaid period likewise acknowledges fired-clay figures, often female, with painted or applied ornament and lizardlike heads at multiple archaeological sites.

That leads to two different propositions:

  1. Ancient people made humanlike figurines with reptile-like features. Supported by excavated artifacts, museum catalogs, and archaeological scholarship.
  2. Those figurines are portraits of a real species of reptilian humanoids who existed or ruled then. Not established by the artifacts.

An object can be genuine without being a literal portrait. Archaeologists examine a figure’s excavation context, recurring features, distribution, craftsmanship, and possible ritual or social uses to infer what it meant. Even then, interpretation can remain uncertain. A stylized representation, deity, costume, mythical being, social identity, or artistic convention cannot be sorted into a definite biological category based on face shape alone.

A more recent archaeological discovery strengthens the evidence for the artifacts—not the alien claim

In a 2025 scholarly report, published online in January 2026, archaeologist Piotr Bieliński described a clay figurine fragment discovered at Bahra 1 in northern Kuwait during the 2023 excavation season. The study characterizes its head as “ophidian”, referring to its elongated serpent-like form. The excavators place it within Ubaid cultural connections across the Gulf and explicitly say the functions of this class of figurine—symbolic, ceremonial, or cultic—are not established.

That is a real, independently documented discovery. It makes the existence and geographic spread of this human-made artistic tradition better supported. It does not provide fossil remains, genetic material, an eyewitness record of a living species, or any evidence that the creators were themselves reptiles.

The key principle: Archaeological uncertainty about what a figurine meant is not archaeological evidence that it depicts an extraterrestrial. The unknown interpretation should remain unknown unless new evidence resolves it.

Were the Anunnaki reptilian aliens who created or ruled humans?

The Anunnaki (also written Anunna or Anunnaku) appear in genuine ancient Mesopotamian texts. That is not in dispute. The question is whether the texts describe reptilian aliens, as modern conspiracy and ancient-astronaut narratives sometimes claim.

The Ancient Mesopotamian Gods and Goddesses project, written by Assyriologist Nicole Brisch and hosted in the Open Richly Annotated Cuneiform Corpus at the University of Pennsylvania, identifies the Anunna/Anunnaki as a group of deities. Their roles vary over time and between texts; some later traditions associate them with the underworld. The resource discusses their attestations and even notes that there are no known images of the Anunna as a collective, although individual gods were depicted.

This matters for a viral claim that frequently combines two genuine historical facts:

  • Ubaid figurines with elongated, lizardlike heads exist.
  • Mesopotamian literature mentions the Anunnaki.

It does not follow that the Ubaid figurines depict the Anunnaki, or that the Anunnaki were biological reptiles. The figurine-making tradition dates to a much earlier archaeological period than the attested written use of the Anunna name. Equating the two requires intermediate evidence, not merely their association with the same broad region.

Modern versions of the “ancient aliens” interpretation drew heavily on Zecharia Sitchin’s writings beginning in the 1970s and on later conspiracy literature. These are modern readings of ancient materials, not direct statements from an archaeologically established alien species. Readers can compare such claims against the source-oriented cuneiform reference entry instead of accepting either interpretation on authority alone.

What about serpent beings in religions and mythologies worldwide?

Serpents, dragons, snake gods, and human-animal hybrids occur in many cultural traditions. Their recurrence is worth studying, but a recurring symbol is not automatically a record of an encountered species. To make that leap, a researcher would have to demonstrate meaningful independence between traditions, avoid treating dissimilar beings as identical, establish how the relevant texts were translated, and identify physical evidence connecting the narratives to a real organism.

Comparing mythologies can establish shared imagery, convergent storytelling, trade connections, and cultural influence. It cannot alone establish that the stories’ supernatural beings existed as described.

Who started the modern reptilian conspiracy theory?

Although reptile-like beings have long appeared in stories, David Icke became the best-known popularizer of the modern worldwide reptilian-control narrative during the 1990s. His 1999 book The Biggest Secret helped consolidate claims involving nonhuman entities, ruling families, hidden bloodlines, and manipulation of world events.

The historical reconstruction in Robertson’s peer-reviewed study of Icke’s reptilian thesis explains that Icke’s version combined earlier UFO and conspiratorial material with ideas from the New Age milieu. The core story developed over time; it did not emerge intact from an ancient translated tablet.

An important separation:

  • Origins of serpent imagery: Ancient and widespread, with different meanings in different cultures.
  • Origins of genuine Ubaid artifacts: Prehistoric Mesopotamian communities, supported by archaeology.
  • Origins of the modern claim that reptilians secretly run the world: A comparatively recent synthesis of conspiracy literature, alien narratives, and spiritual ideas.

Confusing these timelines can make a recent theory appear to have thousands of years of continuous documentary corroboration when the evidence does not establish that continuity.

Which celebrities, politicians, and royal figures have been accused?

Lists of alleged “reptilian celebrities” circulate online, often because a photograph looks unusual or a politician appears in a degraded television recording. Being named in such a list is not evidence of nonhuman ancestry. We name several examples only to document their roles in the claims and the evidence behind those specific examples.

Public figure How the reptilian allegation circulated What can be established
Susan Dell Comments about her appearance at the October 2026 White House event Original event footage exists; viral comparisons exist; no authenticated nonhuman transformation is established. Original recording
Queen Elizabeth II / British royals Hidden-bloodline claims within David Icke’s reptilian theory The accusation is documented as part of a modern conspiratorial narrative, not as biological evidence. Historical research
Hillary Clinton Viral posts featuring apparent reptilian eyes PolitiFact examined a purported transformation and found the allegation unsupported by the original material.
Miley Cyrus An altered or effects-bearing TV-interview clip in reptilian compilations The alleged pupil effect was absent from the original ABC interview reviewed in the 2022 source comparison.

A responsible investigation should not turn an evidence review into an endlessly expandable accusation list. If a purported transformation is submitted for analysis, the productive question is which original recording and independent observations support it?, not how famous the person is.

What about witnesses who say they saw a person shapeshift?

Some believers describe firsthand encounters, not just video glitches. They may report a person’s face briefly changing, an unexpected eye movement, an overwhelming impression of a nonhuman presence, or events they interpret as a disguise failing. These accounts should be reported accurately, without automatically ridiculing the witness or pretending the experience never occurred.

But the sincerity of testimony and the accuracy of its explanation are separate questions. A person can honestly describe what they think they witnessed and still be mistaken about the cause. Conversely, dismissing an account merely because it is unusual is not a serious investigation.

A meaningful evidence review would ask:

  • Was the account recorded before exposure to similar reptilian stories, or afterward?
  • Are there other witnesses who gave independent accounts before consulting one another?
  • Was the event recorded in an original, unedited file, or described later from memory?
  • Could ordinary perception, lighting, altered imagery, or an identified medical or optical phenomenon plausibly explain the observation?
  • Is there independent physical, biological, or documentary evidence of the claimed transformation?

A firsthand report can justify follow-up research. Without corroboration, it cannot establish a previously unknown class of beings. We found no independently verified biological transformation resulting from the publicly documented cases discussed in this article.

Could reptilians use holograms, frequencies, or interdimensional technology?

Some versions of the theory respond to ordinary video explanations by proposing an advanced disguise system: perhaps a hologram flickers, an invisible “frequency” changes, the camera captures a different dimension, or only certain observers can perceive the true form.

These versions differ significantly from the idea that someone has a physical slit pupil. An engineered optical disguise would imply light and imaging behaviors that could, in principle, be measured. A material shapeshift would imply physical changes in anatomy. A purely perception-based event might leave no corresponding change in camera footage at all.

A useful hypothesis needs to specify what observation would distinguish it from a normal camera defect, a deliberate special effect, or human perception. It is not enough to explain every outcome after the fact. If clear footage is called a perfect disguise, distorted footage is called a failed disguise, and no footage is called evidence of suppression, the theory supplies no result that could count against it.

This does not mean an unknown technology can be ruled out by definition. It means a proposed technology cannot become established fact without specific evidence of how it behaves and why the observations favor it over alternatives.

What if the government, scientists, and media are covering it up?

Suspicion of powerful institutions is not inherently irrational. Governments, businesses, and influential people can mislead the public; documented misconduct is a legitimate subject of investigative journalism. The appropriate response is more independent verification, not less.

For a claim of systematic reptilian concealment, at least two different things would need to be demonstrated:

  1. The cover-up: Records, communications, payments, instructions, or other independently checkable evidence showing a coordinated effort to hide particular facts.
  2. The hidden phenomenon: Credible evidence that the facts being concealed involve actual reptilian humanoids, rather than some different matter.

Proving that a recording was removed would not, by itself, prove that it showed an alien. Proving that two wealthy families are connected would not, by itself, prove shared reptilian biology. Even a demonstrated lie about one topic would not automatically make every unrelated allegation true.

Where documents are allegedly disappearing, a useful investigation would preserve the original URL, capture dates, independent archives, filenames, hash values, and copies from different sources. A claim becomes more testable when its precise evidence is saved—not when its absence is treated as confirmation.

What would actually prove reptilian shapeshifters exist?

A strong article should not demand “proof” without explaining what that term could mean. There is no single magical test, but different claims imply different evidence requirements.

Claim to test Potentially meaningful evidence What would not be sufficient on its own
A person physically changes into a reptile-like organism Independently authenticated, continuous high-quality observations with multiple views and verifiable physical measurements One frozen, recompressed, or edited frame
A previously unknown humanlike reptilian species exists Verifiable specimens or biological samples with secure provenance, independent examination, and reproducible findings A drawing, statue, or anonymous story
A genuine human-reptile hybrid lineage exists Authenticated biological samples, robust genomic and evolutionary analysis, independently reproducible results Facial resemblance, family wealth, or a speculative genealogy
Advanced camouflage technology creates apparent human appearances A demonstrable device or measurable optical signatures that predict independent observations A video glitch attributed to technology only after it occurs
Governments coordinate a specific concealment effort Authenticated contemporary records and independent corroboration demonstrating the coordination A general belief that institutions cannot be trusted

For biological claims, documented genetic variation among humans is not evidence of a covert species. Modern genomic research, including the Human Pangenome Reference Consortium’s work, illustrates how scientists examine human genetic diversity using reproducible samples and methods. It does not imply that anyone has sequenced the genome of every public figure or conclusively excluded every imaginable unknown organism.

The appropriate standard is not “show us something we already agree with.” It is provide an independently checkable observation that is much more likely if the reptilian claim is true than if it is false.

Can anyone definitively prove that reptilians do not exist?

It is generally impossible to disprove every imaginable hidden creature in every imaginable place, especially when the claim allows undetectable powers. But scientific conclusions do not require disproving every possibility. They ask which explanation is supported by the actual record.

A claim of a worldwide secret population occupying influential offices is far more specific than a claim that some unknown life might exist somewhere in the universe. It would be expected to leave biological, technological, physical, or documentary evidence. The absence of independently verified evidence after years of widely circulated allegations is a serious weakness for that specific claim, even though it does not constitute a metaphysical proof that nothing unusual could ever be discovered.

Likewise, NASA’s discussion of unidentified anomalous phenomena concerns reports that remain unidentified; it does not establish that a particular politician or businessperson is an extraterrestrial. “Unidentified” describes the state of an investigation, not the identity of its subject.

How to investigate any new reptilian eye video yourself

The strongest protection against both gullibility and reflexive dismissal is a reproducible source check. You do not have to take sherafy.com‘s word for any particular viral clip.

  1. Save the exact claim. Record the account, date, alleged person, original caption, and the precise timecode at which a “shift” supposedly occurs. Avoid vague compilations whose clips are not identified.
  2. Locate the earliest complete recording. Find the original broadcast, official full-length upload, live stream, or production archive. Do not treat the most-shared crop as the source.
  3. Compare versions at the same moment. Check whether the anomaly also appears in the earliest version and in recordings from another camera. A difference that emerges after reposting changes the explanation.
  4. Inspect what else changes. Look at moving hair, teeth, hands, subtitles, logos, screens, and background objects. Similar artifacts elsewhere can reveal a recording or processing issue.
  5. Distinguish real anatomy from image processing. A genuine unusual pupil can be a human anatomical variation. A two-frame block of damaged pixels cannot establish anatomy. Do not diagnose a stranger from an image.
  6. Keep the chain of custody. Preserve the original file when lawful and available, relevant timestamps, unmodified frame extracts, and notes about transformations such as crop, upscale, stabilization, filters, and re-encoding.
  7. State what remains unknown. If an original broadcast cannot be found, call provenance unresolved. If a visual effect is confirmed by production staff, say so. Neither outcome supports inventing findings beyond the source record.

AFP Fact Check’s guide to finding the source of a video explains practical verification approaches, including working backward from video frames.

A challenge to anyone with compelling evidence: The useful submission is not merely a dramatic clip. It is the earliest authenticated source, with the claim stated precisely enough that other people can attempt to disprove it. Evidence becomes stronger, not weaker, when it survives adversarial testing.

Why do people believe reptilians rule the world?

Several different kinds of people engage with reptilian content: sincere believers, those testing a possibility, science-fiction fans, satirists, and people mocking public figures. A viral clip does not tell us how many viewers fall into each group.

One reason the narrative persists is that it offers an explanation for otherwise opaque systems of power. Political and financial relationships can be difficult to trace. A hidden group supposedly controlling everything creates a simple, emotionally satisfying map. But an explanation feeling comprehensive is not the same as its predictions being independently confirmed.

There is also evidence that people sometimes perceive significant patterns where no common cause has been established. Peer-reviewed research on illusory pattern perception found associations between pattern perception and some conspiracy or supernatural beliefs. That is a population-level research finding—not a diagnosis of any individual who asks about reptilians.

Did a poll really find that 4% of Americans believe in lizard people?

In 2013, Public Policy Polling asked 1,247 registered U.S. voters whether shape-shifting reptilian people controlled the world by taking human form. Four percent answered yes; 88% said no; and 7% were unsure (rounded percentages). This was a 2013 survey response, not a measurement of sincere belief in October 2026.

A 2026 peer-reviewed study in Collabra: Psychology found a further complication. In a survey of 1,044 Australians, some participants endorsed an invented conspiracy about a genetically engineered raccoon army; 10% endorsed that invented claim, while 13% acknowledged some insincere responses. The researchers cautioned against equating a survey checkmark with deep, sincere belief. That study did not measure American reptilian beliefs, but it shows why claims about the precise number of true believers deserve skepticism.

None of this means sincere believers do not exist. It means engagement, joking, curiosity, and conviction should not be collapsed into one number.

Why it matters when people call a real person a reptilian

The stakes are not only scientific. Labeling a public figure “not human” because of a facial expression or eye appearance can turn visual differences into accusations about someone’s identity. The same argument could mistakenly target people with ordinary anatomical variations, injuries, age-related changes, or atypical expressions.

Some branches of reptilian conspiracy culture also overlap with older antisemitic claims about secret bloodlines and control of finance and politics. This is a documented feature of particular narratives, not a reason to assume every person curious about reptilians shares those prejudices. Robertson’s historical study discusses the complex history of David Icke’s ideas and their connections to other conspiracy traditions. Evaluating those connections requires precision, not guilt by association.

Power, ownership, lobbying, conflicts of interest, and public spending remain legitimate topics for hard investigative reporting. Those investigations succeed by tracing documents, incentives, and conduct—not by asserting that a subject’s eyes reveal a nonhuman species.

Reptilians: frequently asked questions

Are reptilians real?

There is no credible, independently verified evidence for reptilian humanoids living disguised among humans, physically shapeshifting, or secretly ruling the world. Ancient serpent imagery and real video anomalies do not establish the biological claim.

Is Susan Dell a reptilian shapeshifter?

There is no verified evidence that Susan Dell is nonhuman or transformed on camera. An October 7, 2026, White House appearance prompted online speculation, but the speculation is not a biological finding. The official event recording is the appropriate starting point for checking particular excerpts.

Why do reptilian eyes appear to change or turn into slits on video?

Different cases have different explanations: deliberate CGI, edits added after original publication, compression artifacts, lighting, and authentic human eye variations. Some clips lack the original file needed to identify the exact cause. An apparent eye change alone is insufficient to prove a transformation.

Why does only the face glitch and not the background?

Because video encoding and transmission can treat moving regions differently from stationary regions. A moving face may develop compression or reconstruction artifacts while a still wall looks largely normal. This is a known technical behavior, not a diagnostic test for shapeshifting.

Can humans have reptile-like slit pupils?

Some humans have unusual pupils caused by anatomical differences such as iris coloboma. Decorative contact lenses can also create an animal-eye appearance. No validated test identifies a “reptilian” person by pupil shape.

What is a reptilian third eyelid?

Believers sometimes describe a translucent membrane crossing the eye. Various animals possess functioning nictitating membranes. Humans have a small vestigial plica semilunaris, but viral video streaks have not established a fully functional nonhuman eyelid in any named person.

Are Ubaid reptilian or lizard people statues authentic?

Yes. Museums and archaeological publications document prehistoric clay figurines with lizardlike or “reptilian” features. Their exact cultural meaning remains unsettled. That does not establish that they portray a living reptilian species.

Were the Anunnaki reptilians from another planet?

Ancient Mesopotamian texts discuss the Anunnaki as deities. Modern writers later interpreted them through extraterrestrial narratives. There is no demonstrated historical or biological link proving that the deities were reptilian aliens or that Ubaid figurines portray them.

What is the difference between reptilians, Draconians, and the Illuminati?

In conspiracy communities, “reptilians” usually refers to alleged reptile-like beings; “Draconians” to a purported subtype or origin; and “Illuminati” to an alleged hidden power network. The labels overlap in some stories and diverge in others. None of these labels establishes a biological species.

Which celebrities are reptilians?

There is no verified list. Real public figures have been accused on the basis of photographs, viral eye clips, or secret-bloodline theories, but an accusation and a validated biological finding are not the same thing.

Are there verified reptilian DNA samples?

No independently authenticated, reproducibly analyzed sample has established a hidden reptilian-humanoid population. Human genetic diversity is well documented; a purported nonhuman lineage would require valid biological samples and independent genomic analysis.

Can cameras detect reptilians or beings hidden in other dimensions?

No validated camera method is known to identify a supposed reptilian disguise or interdimensional being. A proposed detection mechanism would need predictions and results distinguishable from optical effects, codec errors, and editing.

What if a reptilian video has no conventional explanation?

Then the video’s explanation is unresolved. That is a legitimate status, not evidence that the subject is nonhuman. Further progress depends on source provenance, other recordings, technical analysis, or independently checkable physical evidence.

How many people really believe the reptilian theory?

No reliable current figure is established here. A widely cited 2013 U.S. survey reported 4% answering yes to a lizard-people question, but recent research shows why survey endorsement should not automatically be equated with sincere conviction.

The evidence-based conclusion

The reptilian theory contains real objects, real folklore, genuine uncertainties, authentic footage, manipulated footage, and real people who say they have witnessed extraordinary things. Treating all those categories as identical leads to bad conclusions in either direction.

The authenticated Ubaid figurines support a conclusion about ancient art, not alien genetics. The earliest versions of several famous videos reveal later effects or distortions, not confirmed transformations. An eyewitness’s sincerity is relevant to understanding the report, but does not replace independent corroboration. The existence of powerful networks invites conventional investigative scrutiny, but does not establish that their members belong to another species.

Our finding as of October 10, 2026: We found no credible, independently verified evidence that reptilian shapeshifters live among us or secretly control humanity. That conclusion is open to revision if independently testable evidence emerges. The standard is the same standard we should apply to any extraordinary claim, whether made by a social-media account, a government agency, a corporation, or a respected scientist: show the original evidence, explain the inference, test competing explanations, and let other people check the work.

Editorial and evidence note (October 10, 2026): This is a source-based synthesis, not a claim that sherafy.com obtained original camera masters, interviewed all alleged witnesses, performed medical examinations, or independently analyzed biological specimens. Specific video cases are attributed to the investigators who documented them. A future authenticated source recording, archaeological finding, or reproducible biological result should be assessed on its own merits. The conclusion reflects the documented record available at the research date.
